If you thought Florida was just an Everglades wasteland overflowing with women riding manatees and drunk dudes doing their best Florida Man impressions, Reddit is here to disprove you.
They’ve dropped an important truth bomb about Fort Lauderdale, a city that earned the nickname Venice of America for its over 165 miles of canals. It turns out the city isn’t all that awful. Reddit’s proof is this enterprising dude chilling on a floating tiki bar.
You too can be just as ballin’ as this Wilford Brimley-esque gentleman sipping a branded swag beer. Cruisin’ Tikis, the company behind the beer and the booze-soaked raft, created this octagon of alcoholism. They offer two versions of floating tiki bars. Those looking to roam the wild canals of Fort Lauderdale are stuck paying a pretty penny for the motorized version at $21,500. The stagnant-as-hell version costs just $16,500.
Shipping and handling is your own damn problem, though Cruisin’ Tikis does break up its payments a bit. If you really want to pull a Florida, though, you could always just hijack the boat. Bonus points if you cut loose a non-motorized version and need the Coast Guard to rescue you after floating miles down Fort Lauderdale’s famous canals.
