Logan Paul is back to his normal, usual self. And there’s almost no doubt that the YouTube video he dropped on Sunday will cause a backlash, mostly because he’s still being, in his own words, a “chach.”
In case you missed it, Paul recently posted a video from a Japanese “suicide forest” that caused an international uproar and led to YouTube kicking him out of the Google Preferred Program, drastically cutting his earnings from the channel.
Other YouTubers relentlessly criticized him, and Android games were created to make fun of his predicament.
But late last month, he posted a video on suicide awareness that seemed sincere, and during an interview last week on Good Morning America, he said he’s a good guy who made a bad decision and that he will become a better person.
On Sunday after, only a few hours before the Super Bowl, he dropped this video in which he plays the role of Tom Hanks in Castaway, gets into a brawl with a little person, and relentlessly promotes his merchandise (he blames YouTube for cutting his earnings in half, and he said he needs to keep his mansion). He also says he’s being sued for $4 million, and for a few minutes, he explains how he’s gotten himself through his self-made controversy.
Here’s Paul’s new video.
If you hate Logan Paul, you’re probably going to hate this video. If you thought, from now on, all of Logan Paul’s videos were going to be well thought out and sensitive, you’re probably going to be disappointed. But if you thought Logan Paul would go back to being the vlogger he’s always been, you’re not going to be surprised.
