Comedian Pete Davidson Uses Humor To Deliver Touching, Powerful Tribute To Father Who Died In September 11 Attacks

This is so touching, done in a way only a comedian could do!

Pete Davidson‘s father died on September 11, 2001 in the terror attacks in New York City, when the comedian was just a seven-year-old boy,

Davidson’s dad had been a firefighter who was killed in the line of duty during the attacks, and never got to see his son become the youngest member of the current cast of Saturday Night Live — and thus far the only member born in the 1990s.

So Pete did today what only a funnyman could do: he roasted his dad a little bit on Instagram!

Ch-ch-check out Pete’s first IG post — part serious, part humorous, part beer-for-an-infant (below):

Awww! So cute! Now we know where Pete gets his humor!

But it got funnier — later, a few hours afterwards when the calendar officially turned to the 11th, Pete posted (below):

LOLz!! Too funny.

We know Pete must have had a very tough time missing his dad growing up after September 11, but clearly, he’s used — and continues to use — humor to overcome the dark days. Good for him.

And R.I.P. to daddy Davidson and everyone else loved, lost, and missed in the attacks that fateful day in 2001.
