Recipe: Beer Battered Fish

Beer Battered Fish

INGREDIENTS: Vegetable oil
1 pound fish fillets or uncooked peeled off deveined huge shrimp, thawed if frozen

3 to 4 tablespoons Original Bisquick?
1 cup Bisquick Original cooking mix

1/2 cup beer

1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt PREP WORK: Heat oil (1 1/2 inches)in heavy saucepan or deep fryer to 350 levels F.

Lightly coat fish with 3 to 4 tbsps Bisquick.

Mix staying active ingredients with hand beater up until smooth. (If batter is also thick, mix in added beer, 1 tablespoon at a time, up until preferred consistency.) Dip fish into batter, allowing excess drip right into bowl.

Fry fish concerning 2 mins on each side or up until golden brownish; drain. Serve hot and also, if preferred, with tartar sauce.

Makes 4 or 5 servings.
