Dish: flemish beef as well as beer stew

Flemish Beef and also Beer Stew (Carbonnades à la Flammande)
Carbonnades are made with bacon and dark-colored beer. This is tasty over hot, buttered egg noodles.

1 (1 1/2 extra pound)boneless beef chuck
or rounded steak, 1 inch thick

1/4 extra pound bacon 4 medium onions, cut 1 clove garlic, sliced 3 tablespoons all-round flour

1 cup water
1 (12 or 16 ounce) could light or dark beer

1 bay fallen leave 1 tablespoon loaded brownish sugar 2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon dried out thyme leaves
1/4 tsp pepper

1 tbsp vinegar Minced parsley
Hot prepared noodles

Cut beef right into 1/2-inch slices; cut slices into 2-inch strips. Cut bacon into 1/4-inch items; fry in Dutch oven until crisp. Eliminate bacon with slotted spoon; drain. Put off fat and reserve. Cook and mix onions and also garlic in 2 tbsps of the scheduled bacon fat till onion hurts, about 10 mins. Remove onions. Cook and also stir beef in remaining bacon fat till brown, concerning 15 mins.

Mix in flour to coat beef; gradually mix in water. Add onions, beer, bay leaf, brown sugar, salt, thyme as well as pepper. Include just adequate water to cover beef if necessary. Warmth to steaming; lower heat. Cover as well as simmer till beef hurts 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
